The Reconsecration of the Womb
The reconsecration of the womb is a ritual
developed by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki
(Director of the S.O.L. - Servant of the Light, Mystical School)
with the intent to clean and re-consecrate the womb, the sacred place inside of every woman where creation takes place.
The female womb is sacred. It is the Holy Grail which contains and carries the continuity of life for humankind. It is the sea in which each of us begins life, the energy centre for many most joyous and passionate experiences in life and the internal temple that reflects the lunar cycle.
In old times the womb was dedicated to the Goddess, the female energy. Men used to worship the Goddess in every woman as she was the manifestation of the female energy and giver of life.
Men also used to honour our planet, Mother Earth for she was bringing forthall life and sustaining it, and treat her with respect and care.
Than men discovered that they too were involved in the life giving process and started disrespecting the old ways. They disgarded the Goddess and her gift of life and nourishment and they started disregarding women.
Suddenly a women who was before the chalice which would hold the life force and bear new life became a servant that could be owned, sometimes less worth than the horse he would ride on or the livestock he would own. She who was honoured before became just somebody who would bear his children, cook and wash. Something that could not think for itselve and that had to be protected. Women had to struggle for their independence, they were belittled, not alowed to vote, not allowed to work in certain jobs not that long ago and they are the ones who are suffering during war times as their sons and their husbands are getting killed.
The Ritual of the Reconsecration of the womb is for healing all these wounds that women have suffered from this kind of disrespect may it be in this life time or in others. It is also for women who suffered rape, abuse, sexual trauma, oppression, abuse of power, abortion, hysterectomy, loss of an unborn.
The aim of the ritual is to bring back wholeness and to reconnect us with the female part inside of us, our inner Goddess, in who we can find our strength, our courage and our confidence, the divine female power inside. The inner Goddess is our ancient Mother, the Great Goddess, in her three aspects: maiden , mother and crone. We are her children. She was and is always there for us.
In my position as a priestess of the Goddess I create a space in which every woman can meet the Goddess inside and find new strenght and encouragement and healing. I am holding the space so that the Goddess can do her work and bless and heal and strenghten ever single woman.
It will be your special day were you can let go of the past and start anew as a new made-whole woman.
Every woman who is moved to do so can take part in the ritual even if she has not suffered from any of the above. If she truely feels that she wants to take part she can.
The authorization for doing the ritual was given to me in 2006 by High priestess Jen Miller, matriarch of the Miller Clan who passed over in Dec 2018, together with my initiation as a Priestess of the Goddess.
The preparations necessary , the meditations, singing and dancing are according to Jen's teachings.
Music and Dance are ancient therapy forms which have recently emerged again and I count myself very fortunate to be friends with Orna Ralston who is a shaman sound healer and wonderful singer and clown.
The ritual is not a substitute for therapy and medical support, as it works on a spiritual level, but as a complement.
Things to bring to the seminar:
- a flower for the temple (cut or potted)
- a dress or a skirt with blouse for the ritual open to the heart chakra (festive, please NO Black)
- a drum, rattle, favourite musik CD
- some comfortable cloth that make you feel feminine for dancing, drumming, singing
- pen and note book
- a give away for the Priestess
- a towel
- food to share for 3 days
An optional aspect to this ritual is, at the end, to bring in a man to represent the male principle and to exchange a brief dialogue asking for forgiveness and re-affirming friendship between woman and man. This is only included if the woman is truly moved to do so. Normaly my husband Dusty Miller 14. is available for this role.
